Sweet Milly
Millie a petite white and black cat arrived with her face pressed against her basket eager to get out and explore. Hopping out of her carrier her tail pointed skyward, Millie trots over to have a sniff and say hello. A confident kitty she is soon investigating my apartment while her owner Jane looks on proudly. ‘I've known Millie since she was a kitten,’ said Jane ‘ I adopted her a few years ago and she usually goes everywhere with me.’ Jane gathered Milly in her arms for one

Gonzaga The Travelling Cat
Gonzaga Dei Diamanti di Luna arrived in a specially designed backpack on the back of his proud Italian owners.Nervous at first, he walks slowly on the tips of his paws, his neck stretched tall as a giraffes, peering over treetops on the lookout for danger. Soon though Gonzaga is comfortably exploring his surroundings and his humans, Ezio and Danielle get ready to take their leave. Gonzaga dutifully hops back into his backpack and stares up at them expectantly, for Gonzaga is

Brady
At just over a year old, Brady, a happy chap arrived with an overnight bag full of toys. Trundling out of his basket the spotted, tabby Pixie Bob, set about a thorough inspection of his new space. When he chanced upon a couple of foil balls that had fallen out of his bag he immediately batted them between his paws, tossed them in the air and chased them around the front room. It's not long before Brady is following me from room to room appearing magically at my feet as I'm

Mordicai and Esther
Nadia, Mordicai and Esther's owner, made a swift departure after dropping them off. ‘They’ll misbehave if I'm here’ she said backing out of the door. The large golden Siamese cats looked at me expectantly before Esther the smaller of the two slunk to the back of the room and sulked. Mordicai, the larger boy with a pronounced nose and the face of a lion, hopped on to the sofa, threw his head back and yowled. Esther, stuck her head out from behind the armchair, looked at him di

Henry
Henry has come to stay while his owners Luke and Gillian are honeymooning. He is shy but curious, hiding behind furniture until after a few seconds of coaxing he appears, his eyes permanently startled and twinkling and his fabulous whiskers trembling with curiosity. A true Tuxedo Cat Henry is always perfectly turned out in jet black fur with white collar and cuffs. The triangle of white surrounding his pink nose stands out against his prominent black cheeks and tiny chin.

Coco
Coco arrived early one Saturday morning. A soft and fluffy young tabby with white patches and a short upright tail, she bounced around my apartment like Winnie the Pooh’s excitable friend Tigger. Stopping in her tracks in front of the slightly open, wall to ceiling window, her eyes widen and she sniffs the air. Coco hesitantly touched her paw to the pane of glass and as I open it she ducked under the frame and onto the cat safe balcony. She immediately disappeared before rea

Neeps
The summer months are busy ones for me, as well as boarding cats at home I have an increasing number of cats that I visit daily whilst their owners are away. Yesterday after a long day of cycling from cat to cat, I went to bed early and was soon fast asleep. I was happily dreaming of having my hair gently combed when… “Ouch” I woke up suddenly as my head jolted backwards. Neeps, a regular feline guest of mine was sitting comfortably on my back raking his paws slowly though my

Belle
Belle arrived late in the evening for a last minute overnight stay. Her singer songwriter owner like more and more of my customers, is not allowed to keep a cat in her apartment. A last minute appointment by her landlord had left her terrified that her best friend Belle, would be discovered, rendering them both homeless. Indeed Belle a large fluffy Rag doll cross with enormous blue eyes, a tiny pink nose outlined in black and a spectacular ruff around her neck would be diffic

Claude
Claude is a Parisian kitty with an attitude. He is a little bit clumsy and as a kitten managed to smash a glass as he jumped off a counter. The glass shattered around him and he was stuck in a corner for hours unable to move until his owner got home and rescued him. They bonded there and then, his owner Mark tells me proudly over a cup of tea. Claude ignores us as he takes a good look around sniffing the air as he goes. He tests out every surface before settling in the cat ca

Lily
As a kitten Lily was the smallest of the bunch with short, stubby fur. The only one of her siblings that hadn’t been ‘coo’ed’ over and chosen by strangers to be given a home when she came of age. The owner of the kittens was wondering what to do about Lily when there was a knock at the door. A couple had got lost and were asking for directions and the owner invited them in. The couple saw Lily, fell in love and adopted her instantly. Such was Lily’s gratitude that her stubby

Ginger and Timmy
Ginger is a large cat with beautiful markings in shades of orange that swirl around his body, legs and tail. His eyes are the colour of caramel and match his fur perfectly. He appraises his surroundings methodically, registering each new smell as though taking an inventory. Approaching me with confidence, he sniffs the surrounding air before filing and cataloging me with the rest of the stock. Timmy, Gingers adopted brother is the more timid of the two. A smaller, black cat
