Sway the Siberian
Sway arrived on Monday evening with his owner Mark. We had met previously, Sway and I, when his co-owner Agnes brought him round to my place to check it, and I suppose me, out. Luckily and unusually I had no other cat guests and Sway was free to wander around the flat while Agnes and I watched him explore. The creature that emerged from Mark’s basket looked like Sway but seemed so much bigger. First one huge soft fluffy paw emerged and then his little pink nose, outlined in b

Out Visiting
Monday After packing his stuff and getting him cleaned up for his stay next door, I struggled to carry his blanket and cat litter, and toys spilled out of my hands as I tried to get out of the door without Rameses. I planned to make another trip to come back and get him but he had other ideas and managed to squeeze out of the door before me. When I got to my neighbours Rameses was sitting on the doormat wondering what was taking me so long. #sphynxcats #rarecatbreeds #profess

Sisterly Love
When Pandora and Chicken first arrived I was taken aback at how big they’d grown but I am very happy to report that Chicken, at least,is still a big overgrown baby. I had some painting to do the other day on the balcony, and with a pet gate keeping the cats on the inside and me out, I got on with the job. Before long Chicken wondered in and peered at me curiously through the gate. She pushed her little nose up to the bars and tried to force it through, then stood on her hind

The Burmese Sisters Rosa & Silver

They surround me while I’m preparing the food, crying in unison when I open the packet and trying to poke their noses under my arms and into the bowls when I’m not looking. Breakfast is served in front of the large window in the living room and for five minutes there is silence apart from the sound of their dete

Rosa and Silver come to Visit
When Rosa and Silver, the two, one year old Burmese sisters arrived this morning all I could see were their two little twitching noses, four huge eyes, and the sparkle of their diamante collars. Their humans, Kirstin and Sukyee watched anxiously as they tripped out of their baskets and ran around the front room, excitedly rubbing and sniffing everything in sight. Once Kirsten and Sukyee had finished telling me about Silver and Rosa’s personalities (how they liked to play figh

Black Cat Goes Home
I hadn’t heard from Mr Costas during the two weeks I had been looking after Francesca, and he’d replied to none of my text updates. But last night he sent a brief message asking me to prepare Francesca for 8am, and he arrived on the dot. It was supposed to be a very brief affair, the pick up, as Mr Costa was double parked outside, but Francesca had other ideas, and although Mr Costa was very pleased to see Francesca she didn’t look particularly pleased to see him. ‘It’s often
